While we may have to deal with the uncertainty of an unpredictable future, we should have a good sense of values and ideals to make sure that our life is worth living. Think of your ultimate goal, the moments that brought joy for you. Indulge in your hobbies and spend time with your own company. Question yourself and ask the hard questions. If you give yourself time, you will finally have an inkling of what your fundamental goals are.


Don’t Think of a Perfect Life

Be realistic. As you grow, you will be called upon to play various roles; in your personal life as well as your professional life. Think of the many areas where you will want to divide your time. If you want to be truly happy, you must understand the value and importance of the word “no”.

Determine your role. Picture your future and think about the people around you. What would they say about your life?  Identify your priorities and let go of those actions that are taking away your mental and physical energy. It may seem like a difficult decision, but you have to be honest with your assessments.


Make a Plan

Imagine your life at 70, at 50 or even at 3. Do you feel that with your current mission, your vision of your life is achievable? Do you have the skills, contacts or knowledge about the goals you want to achieve inBlog12 your later life? Would you be able to afford your chosen lifestyle without letting it affect your future needs?

It’s critical that you take a serious look at your lifestyle and the “Present You”. As you work your way up, you should develop the skills you need since they would offer you the stepping stones to your ultimate journey.

Finally, accept the fact that you will face challenges. The world will throw curve balls at you, but you have to be willing to make the effort for the life you want. Keep the people you trust the most beside you and use their encouragement to work your way up. This is integral in your quest.
